File formats for messages and greetings
Any externally recorded audio file must be in one of the following formats:
- 16 kHz 16-bit mono PCM16 (preferred)
- 8 kHz 8-bit mono G.711 A-law
Compatible audio file types:
- WAV
- WMA
If video is supported, you can upload a video file in one of the following formats:
- H.263-1996 (H.263 1998 no annex or H.263-2000 profile 0) compression; CIF or QCIF resolution at 10-30 frames per second
- H.264 compression; 720p, VIF, VGA or QCIF resolution at 10-30 frames per second (in baseline profile packetisation mode 0)
Compatible video file types:
- MOV
- 3GP
If the caller's device is unable to receive video, the caller will hear the default audio file.
