One Net Business provides two levels of administration: enterprise and site. An enterprise administrator oversees the whole organisation and can manage the users and services at any of the sites. A site administrator manages the users and services for their site. Sites can be divided into smaller departments to make them easier to manage. Both enterprise and site administrators can manage departments.

With One Net Business, you can use virtual extensions to contact people both inside and outside your organisation. A virtual extension is a number that isn't a real phone number but can be mapped to a real phone number. When you dial a virtual extension, One Net Business connects the call to the real phone number.
Virtual extensions must be unique in the organisation, so you need to set up a numbering plan to assign different ranges of numbers to each site. You should then notify the site administrators of the numbers that they can use as virtual extensions.
You might want to use internal virtual extensions during the migration to One Net Business so that users can be contacted on their old extension numbers during the transition period.

You can use external extensions for people who are contacted frequently in other organisations, such as clients, suppliers, partners or subcontractors. These contacts appear in your company's main phone book and can be called by dialling their extension number rather than their full phone number.
