Requirements for One Net Business services

For the One Net Business services and the individual One Net Business applications to operate correctly and effectively, your IT system must meet the requirements shown below.

Network requirements

Your network environment must meet the following minimum requirements in order to support One Net Business.

  • Structured category 5 cabling or better.
  • 100/1000mbps LAN switch with:
    • Optional support for 802.3af Power over Ethernet.
  • Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) server.
  • Time server access.
  • LAN switch configured to provide Quality of Service (QoS) and prioritise voice traffic over other less sensitive data traffic within your LAN, using the following mechanisms:
    • Differentiated Services Code Point (DSCP) markings to identify different types of traffic on your network.
    • Prioritisation and Low Latency Queueing (LLQ) of voice traffic, to ensure it is given priority over other non time sensitive traffic such as web browsing or email.
