Information for administrators
A hunt group is a way to manage incoming calls in your organisation. With a hunt group, all calls to a particular number are distributed among a group of people. The distribution of the calls depends on the policy you apply to the hunt group.
When a hunt group has been added, an administrator can configure its settings.
To set up a hunt group
For administrators only
The hunt group profile settings are described below.
Setting |
What the setting does |
---|---|
Name |
The hunt group is identified by this name in the company's main phone book unless you choose to use privacy settings to hide the hunt group. |
Abteilung |
Select a department if you want to assign the hunt group to a department. |
Zeitzone |
Defines the time zone that is used as a baseline when configuring time schedules. |
Anklopfen für Agenten gestatten |
With this option selected, users are notified of a new call even if they are already on a call. If a user has switched off their personal call waiting setting, the hunt group overrides this. |
Anrufverteilung |
Choose the way in which you want calls to be distributed to the group members. |
Einstellungen für „Keine Antwort“ |
You can choose how many times a user's phone should ring before the call is transferred to the next member of the group. You can also specify an overall length of time after which the call is forwarded to another number if no member has answered it. |
Einstellungen für „Nicht erreichbar“ |
You can enter a number for the call to be transferred to if the hunt group number is not reachable. If no member of the group is reachable, you can choose for a call to be handled as if the group is busy. |
Einstellung für Namensanzeige |
The caller ID can be prefixed with the caller ID for the hunt group so group members can see that the call is for their hunt group. For example, if the hunt group caller ID is Support, a call from Sam Jones would show as Support - Sam Jones. |
You must create a list of users who will share the calls. If you choose the regular or circular distribution policy for the hunt group, the order of the names in the list affects how many calls each user receives.
Don't assign users in the 'Pending' state to hunt groups and call centres.
To add users to the hunt group
Any users found by a search appear in the Verfügbare Benutzer list.
You can use call policy settings to control how the hunt group forwards a call.
Service setting |
What the setting means |
---|---|
Vertraulichkeit für angeschlossene ID bei umgeleiteten Anrufen |
Controls whether the caller continues to see the caller ID of the called party or the caller ID of the new party when forwarding a call. Select:
|
Bei umgeleiteten Anrufen Anrufumleitungsantwort senden |
Controls whether One Net Business sends a signal to the other party when forwarding a call. The signal allows the other party's system to take action if it has been set up to recognise the signal. Select:
|
Namensanzeige für umgeleitete Anrufe |
When forwarding an outgoing call, controls whether the caller ID displayed to the forwarded party is the original caller ID or the ID of the new party. Select:
|
If the hunt group has call services assigned, you can set up these services as you would for a normal user.
