About departments

If your organisation has large sites with many users, you can use departments to manage different groups of users within a site. Enterprise and site administrators can manage users and services for a department in a similar way as for a site.

During the initial setup of One Net Business for your organisation, Vodafone creates user accounts for all the people in your organisation and assigns each user to a site. Once the service is operational, enterprise and site administrators can create departments within a site.

Virtual user services

Virtual users are services that perform user actions like making and receiving calls.

Enterprise and site administrators can assign virtual users, such as auto-attendants and hunt groups, to a department.

To assign a virtual user to a department

  1. If you're an enterprise administrator, select the required site.
  2. Select Standortdienste.
  3. From the Standortdienste list, select the type of virtual user you want to assign to a department.
  4. Select the virtual user.
  5. From the Abteilung list, select the department.

On-hold music

Enterprise and site administrators can set up on-hold music for a department.
