Requirements for One Net Business applications
Information for enterprise administrators
You can use external extensions for people who are contacted frequently in other organisations, such as clients, suppliers, partners or subcontractors. These contacts appear in your company's main phone book and can be called by dialling their extension number rather than their full phone number.
External extensions are set up for a site and can only be used by the users at that site. External extensions must be unique in the organisation, so you need to set up a numbering plan to assign different ranges of numbers to each site. You should then notify the site administrators of the numbers that they can use.
