What's the problem?
When I tried to set up my snom® desk phone it showed the message Sending DHCP request and could not complete setup.
Why does this happen?
Your desk phone is connected to the network but cannot reach the DHCP server to get an IP address.

What to do
First try this

Check your LAN setup and DHCP router.
- Find out if your organisation uses automatic address assignment via DHCP or manual fixed IP address assignment.
- If you use automatic assignment, check that DHCP is enabled in your router and that there are addresses available.
- Try plugging another device, for example a laptop, into the LAN port your desk phone is plugged in to.
- Restart your router.
Then try this
If you use manual fixed IP address assignment, ask your organisation's network or IT administrator to:

Check the IP address of your desk phone against the list of IP addresses used by your organisation.
If your organisation uses fixed IP addresses, there could be a conflict. Your network or IT administrator may be able to solve the conflict.
- Confirm that the IP address is configured in the phone correctly. See the manufacturer's instructions.
